The Credit Union was
established
on October 4, 1986. On the very first day, there was a
need for a minimum of 100 people to join, and that amount
was far exceeded. The Credit Union has been growing
ever since, but not at the pace we had hoped. The
Credit Union was established for the church member, their
families, and friends. We are also opening the
membership to the community.
Services Offered at this time:
Share (savings)
account
Minimum amount
of $5.00 is needed to open the account. Once open,
adult accounts should have a minimum balance of $50.00.
There is a $1.00 membership fee assessed for all adult
accounts. The fee is
waived for all children's accounts.
Regular Loans
If a loan is
desired, the borrower must be a member of the Credit Union
and a regular depositor. There should be at least 20%
of the amount needed in the borrower's account (i.e. Amount
to borrow $2000.00, amount in the account should be at least
$400.00.) A credit check is processed on all of the loan
requests. The credit check fee is $6.00.
